CLUB SONG AND CHANT

Mountain Creek JAFC has adopted the Sturt Football Club Song (from Adelaide and the SANFL) as our Club Song, its also the Melbourne AFL Club Song (with different lyrics).  The image below has the words to the song.

We will sing the song at all Youth games (U13s and above) where we win the game, so expect to hear it a lot of times in 2023!!!

We ask that all parents teach the song to their kids so that when we win games we can sing the song loud and proud!

The Club has been very lucky to have a Local Artist create two versions of our Mountain Creek JAFC Club Song.  The First version is the traditional song and the second version is a “Rock” interpretation of the Song.  We would like to thank Adam Ray and his company “Missing Strings Productions” for creating these songs for us – Great Work Adam!

We expect everyone to know the words so we can sing the song loud and proud in 2023 – so start practicing!

The Club has also developed a Club Chant the intention of which is build “esprit de corp”, i.e. a feeling of pride and mutual loyalty shared by the members of our teams. It is a rallying call and motivational piece to fire the kids up before taking to the field.

The plan is that the Chant should be recalled before each game and at each break (quarter time, half-time and three-quarter time) whilst in the huddle before taking the field.
